SManager

Primarily, it allows the running of shell scripts and programs directly from the file system on a device, enabling operations through a vt100 terminal interface.

Key functionalities include the ability to run scripts at device boot-up or upon changes in network status, and to schedule scripts to run at predetermined times—similar to cron jobs in UNIX systems. Users are empowered to prompt graphical dialogs from processes, create script-launching widgets for the desktop, and write or edit scripts, with the option of originating them via URLs. Moreover, QR codes can be utilized to easily insert code into scripts.

For the file management component, users have access to a range of features. Browsing files on the device and on networks is supported, including for various archive formats such as zip, tgz, tar, tbz, and yaffs2. Multi-tab browsing and file linking enhance usability, and root users benefit from the ability to edit files with root privileges and access files regardless of permissions.
